Our Favourite Superheroes

Here at Toys for a Pound, we ADORE superheroes, and to celebrate National Superhero Day, which is today, we asked our staff to rank their 10 all-time favourite superheroes!

P.S, this list is in no particular order - it was hard enough narrowing the list down to 10!!

An obvious choice to start off, we all aspire to be Superman in some way or another don't we? Super strength, super speed, super durability, this dude has it all!

Everyone knows about Hulk's strength, "The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets." This guy has withstood nuclear explosions, solar temperatures, and planet-shattering impacts. Despite his size, he can also reach speeds of 770mph, not even Usain Bolt comes close!

This guy is an expert tactician and field commander, leading to his teammates looking to him as a role model in battle. Captain America's iconic shield is so strong it can withstand a punch from our friend The Incredible Hulk!

This dude has superhuman speed, agility, and reflexes, enabling him to deflect bullets with his hammer. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, he can swing or throw his hammer as fast as the speed of light, now that's fast!

Batman doesn't even need superpowers, that's how cool he is! He relies on "his own scientific knowledge, detective skills, and athletic prowess". Now if you can find a smarter superhero, let us know!

Okay I'm just going to list some of Wonder Woman's superpowers and you can decide if she's worthy of this top 10.superhuman strength and durability, the power of flight, superhuman speed, reflexes, and agility, enhanced senses including smell, vision, and hearing. Yeah, she's earned her place right?!

He was always going to make this list wasn't he? Spider-Man has the ability to cling to walls, superhuman strength, a sixth sense, 'spider-sense', that alerts him to danger, perfect balance and equilibrium, as well as superhuman speed and agility. That's one cool spider.

Black Widow is another expert tactician to make the list. Her field commandeering skills make her a fantastic role model, and she has experience leading the Avengers. She is an expert martial artist, and is even an accomplished ballerina!

This mutant dude is boss! His healing ability is his primary superpower, which make him extraordinarily resistant to diseases, drugs, and toxins. He even has retractable claws, and I mean c'mon who wouldn't want those just incase??!

Another superhero with exceptional healing abilities, Deadpool has survived multiple incinerations and deceptions. He is still alive 800 years in the future when the new X-Force encounters him, basically meaning he's immortal which I think we can all agree is preeeetty AWESOME!
